I-Slices Manufacturing has won the prestigious 2011 Technology Top 100 (TT100) Award for Sustainability. The Technology Top 100 programme is focused on identifying the true South African role models who through innovation, tenacity and a passionate belief in people, have been able to take their organisations to new levels of competitiveness. The programme seeks to identify role models who are either users or developers of technology.
The entrants of the TT100 programme include a wide spectrum of operations in diversified industries. They exemplify the reality that irrespective of what business they are in, they cannot escape the fact that technology will alter their world. This awards programme recognises these organisations as sustainable, high-performance operations. Over the eighteen years of running this programme, information pertaining to what constitutes a so-called “technologically excellent” organisation has emerged. The key drivers which determine the potential for these organisations to maintain and improve their competitive advantage, are depicted in the model.
